| Until 1960, the black scallop Chlamys varia (Linné, 1758) was largely distributed over the French Atlantic coast. Nowadays, most of the deposits are gone. Since controlled mollusc reproduction techniques are now relatively mastered, some reimplatation attempts have been conducted on a number of oyster culture sites, including the Arcachon Bay, from 1989 to 1992. Despite some good results in hatchery and nursery, the rearing attempts failed. If some good growth rates have been monitored in the Arcachon Bay over these three years, these performances have been frustrated by very high mortality rates occurring shortly after the setting up of the farms. | La numération des larves d'huître dans le plancton renseigne les ostréiculteurs sur la date de pose des collecteurs. La technique utilisée est très ancienne (BOURY, 1928) ; pour chaque station trois prélèvements par traits de filets pendant 10 minutes sont effectués : deux en surface (filet 200 et filet 130) et un à 1 mètre de profondeur (filet 130). Une méthode par pompage avec mesure instantanée du volume d'eau filtrée a été mise au point (prélèvements en surface et à 1 mètre de profondeur, et rétention des véligères sur filets 200). La comparaison des deux techniques met en évidence l'inadaptation de l'ancienne méthode. | Introduction : Intra-basin fishing is not grasped as well, partly because of a lack of distinction between pure professional fishing units and conchological units and on the other hand because of the large amount of ships. Poorly adapted codification of the equipment found in the basin is also contributing to this lack of information. Studies on the subject do exist, but the elements necessary to publish notices are not always gathered, this is leading to the proposal of a geographical systemic analysis on the basin. | The authors give data on the catches during 1991 of some rare fishes to the French harbours : some fishes are recorded for the first time: Dibranchus atlanticus from the North-eastern Atlantic, Paralepis atlantica and Seriola rivoliana from the Baya of Biscay, Lepidocybium flavobrunneum from the statistical ICES Division 8 E. With the growth of the net-fishing for tunna, some pelagic rare species (Taractes asper; Luvarus imperialis, Istiophorid fishes are caught.
